Has Your Voice Been Heard?

I have heard so many disappointed by City Council's decision to raise taxes. There are phone calls, emails, discussions in front yards, in the coffee shops and at grocery stores...this is good. We need to stay informed and talk with each other, share our thoughts and understand the issues!

Communication is good.

We also need to let our elected officials know your thoughts; regardless if you are disappointed, confused, angered or happy with the job that is being done.

What should you do?

Email and call your City Council members what you feel and think.

Here's how to get a hold of your elected officials:

  1. Something is different with this council. The Manara Academy issue was my first glimpse into their power trip. Who is the ringleader? What influence does the city manager have?

  2. At this point, I'm upset with the Coppell residence who voted the council in office. I think a "change" will need to take place for a whole new set of council members.

  3. I'll tell you one thing - I did vote Mr. Mahalik into office for place 2 and if he voted for this, which it sounds like he did, I'll be rethinking my vote!

  4. Most of us are in the same boat. Unfortunately I think we all will be rethinking our votes.

  5. In the majority of our households we are tightening our belts and we expect nothing more and nothing less of our government and our representatives.
They need to instill confidence and trust back into government and our elected officials, they seriously need to reconsider their votes before we have to reconsider ours.

  7. Same thing here. Probably the same email. Sounded like the city would have to close down IF they used some of the slush funds. Made me feel sorry for them. lol
